Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will assist our ophthalmologists in providing high-quality patient care by performing various diagnostic tests and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary patient screenings, including taking medical history and performing visual acuity tests.
Administer specialized diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
Assist ophthalmologists with minor surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper eye care and post-operative instructions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) software.
Sterilize and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.
Previous experience working in an ophthalmology practice or healthcare setting is preferred.
Proficiency in performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
