This position requires accurate typing, entering and maintaining information into databases, updating files, processing forms, researching information, managing records, scheduling appointments, providing information to callers and/or walk-in citizens, and maintaining knowledge of the agency's policies and procedures.
Administrative positions are available in various areas within the Sheriff's Office.

Some of these positions do require shift work (evenings, weekends, overnights, and/or holidays).

Requirements for all Administrative Assistant positions:
High School graduation or equivalent diploma from an institution accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.
S.
Department of Education or licensed as a degree granting institution by the Commission for Independent Education One (1) year experience in a clerical office environment preferred Data entry accuracy score of 80% Typing speed of 25 wpm Must possess a valid Florida driver's license These vacancies are located at different Sheriff's Office locations to include but not limited to:
the Sheriff's Administration Building at 10750 Ulmerton Rd, Largo, 33778, the Pinellas County Jail at 14400 49th St N, Clearwater, 33762, and the North District Station at 2496 Bayshore Blvd, Dunedin, 34698.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
