We are currently hiring a purchasing assistant for a great company located in Largo, FL. This positions starting pay is around $12.00 and hour, it will pay more depending on experience. Daily Responsibilities
Process all purchase order confirmations
Checking quantities, item number, color, factory, pricing, tracking number,
FDA #, etc
Input specific information in AS400 depending on type of PO.
Create revised purchase orders when confirmation differs from original
purchase order
Notify cost accounting of any packaging changes
Determine if test/compliance requests have been sent if noted on purchase order
Scan signed confirmations and email to vendor(s)
Purchase order revisions
Create revised PO's reflecting new pricing, quantity increases, and factory
changes, etc
Updating purchase order per shipping method change
When requesting date change or MOQ access Rocky Soft to determine
correct course of action
If vendor request is not acceptable, communicate with vendor regarding
options available
Review confirmed date change reports
Determine if an item needs to be aired in or request a better ship date
Update pricing, minimum order quantity, vendor level, etc
Add notes when necessary (pending price increases, product quality issues,
etc)
Price increase requests by vendor
Determine previous price increases and percentages and give to Inventory Manager for
approval
Review any and ALL emails from vendor(s) that require an answer from anyone in department
Qty increases due to MOQ, fill a container, etc
Method of shipment
Request for change of factory
Update AS400 when PPS and/or Testing has been approved
Review open purchase order report and correspond with vendors requesting
missing confirmations
Review all open purchase orders that are on hold (No Confirm)
Review old open purchase orders and alert appropriate department that
goods have not been received
Compile list of items on hold and advise customer service/sales whether to
release or hold
Review discrepancies listed on vendor stock report to see if they have been
resolved
Miscellaneous duties
Answer phone calls from customer service and sales regarding inventory
items (arriving, product info, etc)
Large container discrepancies - communicate with vendor, accounting, and
warehouse in order to correctly enter and resolve the issues
Answer requests to put items on hold for specific customers
Create purchase orders for special order items
Track and notify warehouses when special instructions are necessary for
items arriving
Continuous follow up and daily e-mail communications with offshore suppliers
Work with Accounting when variances occur on invoices vs what was received

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
