LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Responsible for communicating and coordinating freight movement between: customer, warehouse, freight forwarders.
Responsibilities include:
Verify the client's event date to schedule transportation according to their event
Verify ship to address(es), shipping methods, instructions, pallet and labeling requirements
Get freight quotes upon request
Follow up for Delivery Order and proof of delivery
Make sure the order is received in the system and you send the job jacket to billing
This job is customer service oriented. If you have a customer friendly mentality, respond to emails in a timely manner, stay organized and are a positive thinking person you will do well. While the additional experience listed below is helpful, it is not necessary to get the job done.
Requirements:
Customer Service Oriented
Organized
Proficient in Excel
Experience a plus dealing/working with, having knowledge of:
Freight Forwarders,
Imports,
Warehousing,
Distribution centers,
Trucking Companies,
LTL shipments,
Rail,
International Air shipments,
UPS,
FedEx
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, employees, factories, providers
Skills:
Detail Oriented
Works well with others
Works well under pressure and in time sensitive situations
Proficient in Excel
Ability to prioritize
Organized
Order Management
Understanding of concepts:
Import/Export
Freight Forwarding
Drop Ships
